We want you to get the care you deserve.
This is our journey
My name is Niko, and I’m the Director and founder of One Step Forward Care. I’m 24 years old, born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, and I started this organisation with one clear goal: to raise the standard of care and community support for people living with disability.
My interest in the NDIS space didn’t come from a business idea — it came from what I was seeing in the real world. Too often, I witnessed neglectful or rushed care, families struggling to find the right supports for their loved ones, and participants left without real opportunities to build friendships, routines, or meaningful community connections. There was a clear lack of engaging, community-based services that truly focused on the person — not just the service.
That’s why One Step Forward Care was created.
What I love about the NDIS space is the ability to genuinely change lives — not only for participants, but for families and everyone around them. I believe every participant has unlimited potential when given the right support. Whether that’s building daily routines, developing independence, improving confidence, working toward employment, exploring education pathways, or simply finding a place where they feel they belong — our role is to walk beside them as they grow.
